The association was founded in 1996 to provide former staff members the opportunity to keep in touch with
SRI and with colleagues, to support the institute in a variety of ways, and to help perpetuate SRI’s
traditions and values. We have a few hundred members across the United States and the world.
Join the Alumni Association
and renew your membership annually to enjoy many activities and services:
- Alumni Association Newsletter: Published and emailed three times a year and containing
news about SRI programs and Alumni Association activities, information about individual members,
and obituaries of former SRI staff members. Members are encouraged to submit stories for publication.
- Membership Directory: A directory of contact information for current alumni members, shared with association
members annually. (Note that member contact information is private unless an alum chooses to publish.)
- Find-a-Friend: If you can't find a former colleague
and their contact information exists in our database, we'll
send a postcard or email to colleague with a request to contact you directly.
- Mailing List and Linkedin: Alumni list & SRI Alumni Linkedin.com group announcing news and events.
- Annual Reunion Meeting: A catered event at SRI that provides an opportunity for
socializing with other Alumni Association members, viewing the Alumni Hall of Fame Induction ceremony,
hearing a speaker describe an important SRI project or organizational development, and winning a door prize!
- Spring Fling: A catered picnic or visit to a Bay Area point of interest. Past trips have been to the
Computer History Museum, SLAC, NASA-Ames, and the California Academy of Sciences.
- SRI Archives: A database and physical repository documenting important areas of SRI’s history,
including photographic archives.
